Social Entrepreneurship Competition in Tourism 2022: applications invited until 18 July
Eight weeks of one-on-one and peer-to-peer coaching by selected international experts await the ten teams who reach the finals. In addition, they will have access to specialist eLearning and online training courses normally costing 10,000 euros to attend.

In 2022 the Social Entrepreneurship Competition in Tourism enters its fourth round. As of 1 June applications to take partare invited until 18 July. In the competition participants can submit an idea for social entrepreneurship in tourism, thereby helping to shape its sustainable future through innovation. The concept of the Social Entrepreneurship Competition in Tourism is the first of its kind in the world. Another “must” is the kick-off event on 13 June, which provides an opportunity to meet this year’s partners. The awards ceremony will take place on 28 November 2022.
The competition’s focus is on giving social entrepreneurs from around the world access to specialist knowledge as well as international exposure. Its aim is to strengthen entrepreneurs and communities at the relevant destinations, encourage their growth and afford them access to the market. All those who have made a social and ecological mission the focus of their business plan and are working with a passion on solutions to the challenges in the tourism and hospitality sector are invited to take part. The competition targets both individuals and teams from Germany and other countries.
This year the participants can again place their trust in a strong network of partners and sponsors. In 2022 the competition is being sponsored by the TUI Care Foundation and supported by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Travel Massive, Eberswalder Hochschule für nachhaltige Entwicklung, SINA, Teejit and of course ITB Berlin.
