ITB Berlin 2026: Important information for the media and content creators

Online accreditation for ITB Berlin 2026 is open now. Media representatives and content creators have access to a modern Media Center in Hall 6.3, which offers comprehensive services and optimum working conditions. Three important events to note: the Digital Media Preview on 17 February and the official Opening Press Conference on 2 March, followed by an exclusive Behind-The-Scenes Tour of the exhibition halls.

In 2026, taking as its slogan ’Discover the stories behind 60 years of legacy’, ITB Berlin is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary. From 3 to 5 March, the World's Leading Travel Trade Show will again welcome thousands of international media representatives and content creators. In order to offer you the best possible working conditions, ITB Berlin has a comprehensive service for the media – from online accreditation and extensive press material to a modern Media Center with workstations in Hall 6.3.

Online-Accreditation

Journalists and content creators can register online here now. Please note the accreditation guidelines. After your application has been processed and approved you will receive an email with a PDF containing your accreditation, press badge and a personal QR code. Please display this QR code at the entrance. Your ticket is non-transferable. You can register and obtain accreditation online around the clock for the entire duration of the event.

Please note: during ITB Berlin accreditation cannot be obtained at the press counters on the grounds. It is therefore necessary that you obtain accreditation online.

Press badges for ITB Berlin 2026 are valid from 2 to 5 March 2026. On March 2, the exhibition halls are still being set up, but accredited media and bloggers can access the fairgrounds from 8:30 a.m., as the Media Center will be open and the Official Opening Press Conference, along with the new Behind-The-Scenes Tour, will take place.

From March 3 to 5, press badges grant access to ITB Berlin and the ITB Berlin Convention from 8:30 a.m. until the show closes at 6 p.m. Badges are non-transferable and must be used together with a valid photo ID.

Two weeks before the start of the World's Leading Travel Trade Show, ITB Berlin director Deborah Rothe will present the first exhibitor highlights and news from the Destinations and Tourism segments. The focus will be on standout exhibitors, innovative concepts and the most important trends awaiting participants at this year's anniversary edition.

The opening press conference of ITB Berlin 2026 marks the official start of the anniversary edition of the World's Leading Travel Trade Show and offers key insights into current industry trends, strategic developments and the most important topics of the show.

Opening tour of ITB Berlin 2026

As is tradition, the opening tour of ITB Berlin 2026 will begin on the stand of the official Host Country of ITB Berlin, Angola, and together with an official political delegation will take participants on a tour of selected stands at the World's Largest Travel Trade Show.

New: ITB Späti

The new ITB Späti in Hall 7.2c is an informal meeting place for the entire travel community and captures the authentic charm of an all-night Berlin “Späti“ “shop. In a relaxed atmosphere and with drinks and snacks on offer, this is a place for spontaneous conversations and where inspirational Destination Pitches will take place. The ITB Späti is also the main meeting point for the ITB trade visitor tours on the subjects of hotel tech, MICE, cultural tourism, sustainability, ITB Innovators, and Tours & Activities. As the venue for the new Innovator and Destination Pitches and meeting place for informal happy hours, it will be a lively hotspot and real highlight for all trade visitors.

Media Center at ITB Berlin

The Media Center is the place to head for media representatives and content creators at ITB Berlin. ITB Berlin offers the best possible working conditions and a wide range of information services and materials. The nearest entrances to the Media Center are the main south entrance and CityCube Berlin.

The modern Media Center in Hall 6.3 is open from 2 to 5 March 2026, daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The following can be found here:

Cloakrooms

Upon presentation of an ITB Berlin 2026 press pass, media representatives can leave their coats free of charge at the cloakrooms at the respective main entrances.

Outside broadcasting vehicles and TV crews

We will ensure access to the grounds for outside broadcasting vehicles as well as live/TV reporting teams and their equipment. Please email your request to presse-itb@messe-berlin.de as soon as you are able to provide filming dates (place and time) and exact crew member details. Please remember to obtain prior online accreditation for all crew members.
