Or: How to exhibit at ITB Berlin 2022

In March 2022, ITB Berlin will once again bring together tourism professionals and key players from the global travel industry. That’s a fact.
What we’ve all learned from the previous months and the challenging times is that exchange, inspiration and initiation of business is more important than ever. We are looking forward to welcoming you at ITB Berlin 2022! Come and join the journey!

Questions and answers about ITB Berlin 2022

ITB Berlin 2022 is scheduled to take place again as a live event at the Berlin ExpoCenter City from 9 to 13 March. The first press conference opening and ceremony are planned for 8 March 2022. The ITB Berlin Convention will run from 9 to 12 March 2022 in conjunction with the trade show. To complement the live event, there will be digital services and other actions to enhance the ITB experience worldwide. These will include options to arrange online appointments, find appropriate contacts, view live programme streams, or watch videos on demand from anywhere in the world. We will implement all essential hygiene regulations to ensure your trade show participation is as pleasant and safe as possible. To make your decision to participate more convenient, we have adapted the registration and cancellation conditions. For example, it is now possible to cancel your stand space free of charge up to 30 November 2021. The corresponding stand registration form will be available on itb.com from the beginning of August.

ITB Berlin offers a centralized, efficient platform to bring tourism professionals together with key players in the global travel industry. Especially under the current conditions, face-to-face interaction, inspiration and initiation of business transactions are more important than ever before. The feedback received from ITB participants indicates a significant ongoing need for interpersonal communication and networking. A survey conducted in March 2021 shows that exhibitors and trade visitors are keenly interested in attending the trade show again. Some 79% are planning to attend ITB Berlin 2022 at the Berlin ExpoCenter City. The ITB Berlin 2022 concept is geared towards customer goals: finding new contacts and networking within the tourism industry, being inspired by new industry trends, cultivating existing business relationships and attracting new clients.

Despite all the pandemic-related uncertainties, one thing is certain for us: more than ever, we are determined to work with you on reviving the world's leading travel industry event. We can only achieve this in cooperation with you – and this is what drives our daily efforts. We are already looking forward to exciting discussions, meeting new and old acquaintances, inspiring prospects, imaginative programmes, entertaining evening events and the most important of all: Seeing you again!

Exhibition stand registration for ITB Berlin 2022 will be available on the website www.itb.com from the beginning of August 2021. This is where, from the beginning of July 2021, you will find further information about the ITB Berlin concept and the conditions of participation.

We appreciate your interest in ITB Berlin 2022. Close contact with our customers is very important to the ITB Berlin team, which is why we remain in regular contact via phone and email. If we have not yet had a chance to get in touch with you, please feel free to contact the ITB Berlin customer manager responsible for your country or industry segment at any time. You can also contact our team at itb@messe-berlin.de. We would be delighted to see you at ITB Berlin 2022!

Stand registration starts at the beginning of August. The official registration closing date is 15 October 2021.

You can cancel your stand booking free of charge up to 30 November 2021. We are currently in negotiations with our stand construction partners to determine the extent to which we can also apply the free cancellation to stand packages. We will provide further details as soon possible. After 30 November 2021, the standard participation and cancellation conditions apply. This information can be found in the official stand registration at the beginning of August.

The renovation work in Halls 12-17 is in full swing. Therefore, these halls will not be available in time for ITB Berlin 2022. We are pleased to announce that, in the course of preparations for ITB Berlin 2020, we have managed to find suitable, temporary spaces for all affected exhibitors. Messe Berlin is moving forward with its renovation plans in order to make the exhibition halls more attractive in the long term. According to our current schedule, Halls 12 and 17 will be renovated in the next construction phase starting in early 2022. This means that we will have to plan ITB Berlin 2022 without these halls. We would be happy to discuss alternative placements with you or with other affected exhibitors.

Unlike other federal states in Germany, the Berlin government has not specified restrictions for exhibition stand construction. We are in regular contact with the responsible authorities and updates regarding the current concepts and regulations are available on the website.
