Stand Out, Shine Bright

PR Opportunities for Exhibitors

All you need to turn your presence at ITB Berlin 2023 into a PR success story.

Your Options On Site

Here is how you maximize your media output during ITB Berlin 2023

ITB Berlin 2023 provides 3 options for those who want a dedicated media event:

  • A slot in the Media Studio in Hall 5.3 includes basic technical equipment and staff, dedicated camera and director services, as well as the live streaming option. Media Studio is adjacent to Media Center, so your event will be right in the hotspot.
  • A slot in one of the conference rooms includes all the benefits of the Media Studio except live streaming.
  • Press conference/ Media get-together at your stand is a helpful way to cut costs and help media representatives immerse in your topic.

Take advantage of Media Monday on 6 March – the whole day before the official kickoff of the show dedicated exclusively to the press. You have a unique opportunity to book a press conference slot in Palais am Funkturm – the centerpiece of the exhibition where the biggest media events (including the opening press conference) take place.

Talk to us about which option works best for you - we'll be happy to answer your queries at presse-itb@messe-berlin.de. And don’t forget you are competing against hundreds of other exhibitors, so make sure to have something special and newsworthy in store.

Book the ITBxplore+ communications package and spread the word about your company’s latest news! Upload news stories and press releases to your corporate profile, and they will become visible as Exhibitor News.

Make sure your Exhibitor News piece contains:

  • Background information on your company,
  • Description of your products and services (preferably with high-quality photos),
  • Business performance statistics for trade media.

Streamline the media access to your company by making sure they have direct contact. When setting up your company profile, specify a PR contact person. The person should also select “PR Contact” as their job title while registering for ITB Berlin 2023.

Do you have great news you can’t wait to share? We’ll gladly do it for you! Our ITB Newsroom publishes outstanding news stories free of charge, distributing them directly to thousands of global media contacts. Contact us at presse-itb@messe-berlin.de to find out if we can take up your story for our newsroom.

Please note: a quality photo is required for your news story to be accepted. We may also make slight journalistic adjustments to your story, without changing any facts.

ITB Berlin gathers and shares the hottest news from industry leaders. We issue them as Daily Insights and Travel Industry News digests (only available in English). These digests offer you both online and offline coverage opportunities. If you want to learn more and be a part of these, reach out to Bettina Badon at bettina.badon@itb-berlin-news.com.

The exhibitors that present the innovations bound to make a lasting impact on the industry, social development, and sustainability can share their novelties with us – and we will showcase them in a dedicated segment of the ITB website and promote them through our social media. The best bit about it? You can add a promotional video to make your innovation visually impactful. Use this form to submit your application to the ITB Innovation Radar.

Do you have any wishes or questions about these options? We'll gladly help at presse-itb@messe-berlin.de.

Come Prepared

Communication begins at home. The ITB Berlin Media Team will be happy to support you leading up to and during the trade show – but going through this checklist will help you maximize your impact.

  • Know Yourself. It helps to think well in advance about the unique messages you want to get across. Identify your unique selling point and build your communications around it.
  • Know Your Audience. Having something to say is great – make sure that you’re talking to those who are willing to listen. Identify media segments that are key to you and tailor your comms accordingly.
  • Reach Out Directly. The best way to win hearts is eye-level dialog. Build up a base of direct personal contacts in your key media and make sure you know precisely what their interests are. The most prominent Travel Trade media have editorial offices at the ITB Press centre in the Hall 6.3. Feel free to drop by!
  • Be Quick. With hundreds of exhibitors and delegations to cover, no journalist will wait for three days for comment. Make sure to have enough manpower for on-site media work.

Got questions, ideas, or requests? Talk to us, and let’s make your powerful stories heard – together. Get in touch with the ITB Berlin Media Team via presse-itb@messe-berlin.de.
